International Recovery Platform

This book describes the background of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and its damages; the major issues during the recovery process and possible solutions; the action plan for future community rehabilitation and the future needs of its implementation.

This study is for sabo and flood control in the western river basins in view of recovery of the livelihood and equitable regional development as well as the anticipated disasters due to flood and mudflow from the Mt. Pinatubo.

This act provides for an integrated and coordinated disaster management policy in South Africa that focuses on preventing and reducing the risk of disasters, mitigating the severity of disasters.
