Featured PDNAs

PDNA is a government-led exercise, with integrated support from the United Nations, the European Commission, the World Bank and other national and international actors. A PDNA pulls together information into a single, consolidated report, information on the physical impacts of a disaster, the economic value of the damages and losses, the human impacts as experienced by the affected population, and the resulting early and long-term recovery needs and priorities.

This Damage, Loss, and Needs Assessment (DLNA) of Cyclone Fani in Odisha was conducted between 24 May and 4 June 2019. Covering the 14 affected districts in the state, it presents estimates of the damage, loss, and recovery needs across 15 sectors.
The report formulates recommendations to make Kerala the first green state in India with an eco-sensitive and risk-informed approach. The report also gives several high-ticket innovations and global examples to build back better (BBB) Kerala.
Post-Disaster Needs Assessment: Gita Cyclone Report Tonga 2018

Nepal PDNA 2017
The Post Flood Recovery Needs Assessment offers an objective basis for recovery planning and measures for reducing future risks. It estimates the impact of the 2017 floods that affected the Terai region and to identify medium-term recovery needs.
Marshall Islands 2016
This report is a rapid socio-economic assessment of the sectors impacted by the 2015-2016 drought in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. This assessment is the first PDNA of a drought in the Pacific.
Cyclone Winston PDNA
This PDNA covers the damage and losses across various sectors following Tropical Cyclone Winston that struck Fiji in 2016. A summary of recovery, reconstruction, and resilience needs are included in the report.
