Earthquakes are phenomena that have a high destructive potential. They cannot be predicted or stopped. However, disasters can be avoided through preventive measures to reduce losses and through actions during and after a seismic event. This module focuses on actions that are aimed at reducing impacts after a crisis has been declared, and on those that should be considered after the humanitarian response in order to avoid future impacts.
