災害大国とも言われる我が国の防災・減災対策の現在地を確かめ、この分野における 今後の国際的な貢献の可能性と国際協力の方向性を議論するフォーラムを開催します。
2021 年8 月に公表された気候変動に関する政府間パネル（IPCC）の最新の報告書でも今後地球温暖化の進行に伴い、世界の多くの地域で大雨の強度・頻度が増加するとされており、洪水・土砂崩れなどの住民の生命に関わる自然災害の発生リスクが一層高まると考えられます。日本では、防災・災害情報や避難を促す仕組みの改良を重ね、日々、努力を積み重ねてきましたが、住民の避難行動に結びついていないとの指摘があります。そこで、今回のフォーラムでは、専門家・実務者が集まり、海外からの論者にも事例を紹介してもらうなどして、新たな災害環境を踏まえた「防災・災害情報と避難～地球温暖化への適応」をテーマに議論し、災害多発・防災先進国・日本の責務として、国内外に発信します。

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
