Mission
那智勝浦町の東側は海に接しており、その海岸線は典型的なリアス式海岸によって構成されている。そのため入りくみが激しく、また気候が黒潮の影響で温暖なので、町内には天然の良港がいくつか存在する。この勝浦の港の一帯には温泉も湧出している。 なお、今後発生が予測される南海トラフ巨大地震の際には、中心に最大9mの津波が到達することが予想されている。

Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
