Mission
みなべ町は、和歌山県日高郡にある町。和歌山県の中部にある日高郡の南端に位置しており、太平洋と紀伊山地に囲まれている。今後発生が予測される南海トラフ巨大地震の際には、町内に最大11mの津波が到達することが予想されている。
Minabe is a small town located in Hidaka District, Wakayama Prefecture in the Kansai region of Japan.
In the event of a Nankai Trough mega-earthquake that is predicted to occur in the future, a tsunami of up to 11 meters is expected to reach the town.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
