和歌山市(わかやまし)は、和歌山県の北部に位置する都市。和歌山県の県庁所在地及び県内で人口が最多の市で、中核市に指定されている。

今後発生が予測される南海トラフ巨大地震の際には、最大6mの津波が到達することが予想されている。

 

Wakayama is the capital city of Wakayama Prefecture in the Kansai region of Japan. 

Wakayama is located at the northwest corner of Wakayama Prefecture, bordered by Osaka Prefecture to the north and the Kii Channel and Kitan Strait to the west. 

In the event of a Nankai Trough mega-earthquake that is predicted to occur in the future, it is predicted that a tsunami of up to 6 meters will reach the area.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
