Mission

CAIAG is an independent non-profit organization and was founded in 2002 under Cooperative agreement between the Government of Kyrgyz Republic and the German GeoForschungs Zentrum, Potsdam, Germany.

The main purpose of CAIAG is carrying out the scientific research in the field of Geosciences: Geodynamics and geocatastrophes; Climate, water and geoecology; Use and protection of resources. Along with this CAIAG deals with a development of technical infrastructure and information management, as well as a raising the level of scientists’ education, training and capacity building.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
