Mission

Cineas is the non-profit university consortium, founded by Politecnico di Milano in 1987, with the mission of: • Disseminating culture and managerial training in the global management of risks and claims • Create new skills and professionalism • Be the hinge between the insurance industry, the industrial sector, the institutions, the health area and the academic world Today the consortium includes 59 members including 5 universities, leading insurance companies at national and international level, brokerage firms, trade associations, companies and professional firms. Since its inception, Cineas has formed about 2300 risk managers who play prestigious roles in major companies on the market.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
