Mission

La Federacion Iberoamericana de Urbanistas, (FIU), se constituyó en octubre de 2010 durante la celebración del XIV Congreso Iberoamericano de Urbanismo en Santa Cruz de Tenerife, sobre la base del Protocolo de Rio de Janeiro que suscribimos 21 países, Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, España, Guatemala, México, Nicaragua, Panamá, Paraguay, Perú, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, Republica Dominicana y Venezuela. La FIU responde a una concepción del urbanismo y de los urbanistas, pluridisciplinar. Forman parte de FIU planificadores urbanos y territoriales provenientes de todas las disciplinas relacionadas con la ciudad y los asentamientos humanos, arquitectos, ingenieros, geógrafos, sociólogos, economistas, juristas, etc. Agrupa fundamentalmente asociaciones nacionales de urbanistas y también a profesionales del urbanismo como socios individuales.

The organization has no registered commitments.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
