Mission

The Journal of Safety Science and Resilience (JSSR) is a scholarly journal that publishes scientific research on the practice of safety science and resilience as well as the latest improvements in the field. This area emphasizes science and technology in natural disasters and man-made and environmental hazards, including 1) monitoring based on sensor networks, video technology, and information and communication systems; 2) early warning based on experiments, modelling, and simulation; 3) resilience analysis to improve the resilience of critical infrastructure systems and communities; 4) data analysis and the evaluation of emergent events in social networks; and 5) optimization analysis of responses to accidents and disasters.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
