Mission

The Kerala State Biodiversity Board (KSBB) is an autonomous body under the Kerala State Environment Department, headquartered in Thiruvananthapuram. 

KSBB was established under Section 22 of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002, and is governed by the Biodiversity Act, Rules, 2004, and the Kerala State Biological Diversity Rules, 2008.

Impact of Flood/Landslides on Biodiversity - Community Perspectives
The objective of the process was to undertake a rapid assessment of the damages to ecosystem and biodiversity after the floods/ landslides and to lay the foundation for a recovery and ecosystem based reconstruction process at local level.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
