This PDNA examines the social and economic damage caused by a series of extreme weather events between December 2010 and February 2011 in Lesotho. A disaster recovery framework with guiding principles for reconstruction and DRR programs is included.
This act provides for the functioning of Lesotho's disaster management plan, disaster reconstruction, rehabilitation and recovery plan, disaster management authority, national disaster relief task force, and district and village disaster management teams.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
