Mission

One Earth is a new monthly journal from Cell Press, publishing significant original research across the full spectrum of global environmental change and sustainability science. The journal provides a single platform uniting research from the natural, social, and applied sciences that seeks to identify and understand:

  • The drivers, mechanisms and long-term context of global environmental change
  • The Earth system's planetary boundaries, thresholds, and tipping points
  • Means to sustainably develop Earth's natural assets and ecosystem services
  • Transformative social, political, economic, and technological pathways towards a sustainable and equitable future

In addition to publishing original research, One Earth facilitates cross-community dialogue through the publication of opinion pieces, review articles, educational resources, and discussions, surfacing different perspectives on topics of socio-environmental importance.

Voluntary Commitments

The organization has no registered commitments.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
