Mission

People ask, what can a story do? We say, it can spark change!

Saferworld Communications (SWC): Telling stories to bring about positive change!

SWC took shape within the communications team of the Sustainable Environment and Ecological Development Society (SEEDS). It builds on a solid foundation of communications for humanitarian causes and uses this expertise to reach out to the wider development community.

Disaster Reduction Goal

SWC's mission is to partner humanitarian and development organisations, providing them with communication solutions in their endeavour to bring positive change. This is particularly focussed on disaster, risk reduction and related development goals.

Whether it is to engage and educate a community, inform stakeholders, document project processes, garner support for a cause or share critical knowledge, we provide effective and targeted communication!

The organization has no registered commitments.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
