Mission

Managing all technical questions of computer science application in the sectors of environmental protection, environmental planning, cleanup of the environment, and environmental research. At present, about 400 experts from research, teaching, administration and industry are cooperating in the Technical Committee. Its primary goal is to promote the exchange of experience, launch initiatives among the research, development and application sectors, and create the basis for intensifying and improving in qualitative terms the application of computer science in solving problems associated with the environment.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
