The University of Texas at Arlington is a public research university in Arlington, Texas, United States.

It is the second oldest university in the University of Texas System and was founded in 1895. It was in the Texas A&M University System for several decades until joining the University of Texas System in 1965.

USA: New UTA study results call on federal government to significantly invest in local volunteer disaster response and recovery groups
After 2017’s record year of billion-dollar disaster events and additional hurricanes and fires in 2018, a new study reveals that inconsistent non-profit resources across different jurisdictions had impacted disaster recovery efforts.

The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
