Mission
Washington Sea Grant serves communities, industries and the people of Washington state, the Pacific Northwest and the nation through research, education and outreach by:
- identifying and addressing important marine issues;
- providing better tools for management of the marine environment and use of its resources; and
- initiating and supporting strategic partnerships within the marine community.

This is a one-day performance level training course that develops the participant's ability to apply coastal risk reduction and opportunity enhancement measures to coastal floodplain management. The course format is as follows:

The organization has no registered commitments.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
