This report assesses progress across programmes and projects to ensure UNDP India remains well aligned to changes in the social, economic and political environment to help address the country’s development challenges. It includes capability enhancement for disaster risk reduction, integration of approaches such as community-based disaster preparedness, early recovery and response, and advocacy for 'build back better' institutional strategies following any disaster in line with India’s 11th Five-Year Plan and with Millennium Development Goal 7, which seeks to ensure environmental sustainability.
