Echo factsheet: disaster risk reduction

This fact sheet: (i) provides key messages related to disaster risk reduction (DRR) in the context of the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (ECHO); (ii) highlight's EU's contribution to DRR; (iii) reports on ECHO's DRR funding in 2013; and (iv) presents good practices of DRR in main humanitarian sectors - disaster preparedness, health, food security and livelihoods, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and shelter and opportunities for building back better.
