This report covers the period from July 2013 to June 2014. It highlights progress and results achieved against GFDRR’s work plan, grants, technical assistance, and knowledge sharing activities. It is organized according to its Five Pillars of Action: Risk Identification, Risk Reduction, Preparedness, Financial Protection, and Resilient Recovery.

The report also captures a snapshot of the organization’s most successful disaster risk management initiatives, and showcases the role partnerships play in making GFDRR’s work possible at the local, national, and global levels. Through its targeted interventions, GFDRR strived to maximize impact and enable countries to design and undertake comprehensive approaches that integrate disaster risk management into development policies and planning.
