Integrating environmental safeguards into flood relief, response and recovery

This document addresses the environmental issues, rarely considered during the recovery phase of a disaster. It recommends the use of a checklist of environmental safeguards for every step of disaster management with the ultimate goal of incorporating environmental safeguards into both disaster management and sustainable development.
