International Recovery Platform

The International Recovery Platform Herald (IRP Herald) is the periodic newsletter of the International Recovery Platform. The IRP Herald reports on IRP activities and serves as the knowledge report for the annual International Recovery Forum, as well as recovery-related content from other major conferences.

IRP Herald Volume 16 is the knowledge report for the orientation workshop on Pre-Disaster Recovery Planning (PDRP) facilitated by the IRP, the Crime and Disaster Prevention Exhibition, and the First National Conference on Promoting Disaster Risk Reduction. This edition of the IRP Herald summarizes the orientation workshop for PDRP in Malaysia facilitated by the IRP, where the goal of the workshop was for participants to gain further understanding on the concept of Build Back Better, enhance their training capacity, and explore the application of PDRP to achieve more effective flood management. This edition also includes summaries of the Crime and Disaster Prevention Exhibition (Osaka, Japan) and the First National Conference on Promoting Disaster Risk Reduction (Tokyo, Japan).

IRP Herald Volume 16 is available in both English and in Japanese.
