Nepal: District risk profiles

Source
Pacific Disaster Center

This report presents natural hazard risk assessment results for Belize's districts. In Achham district, in terms of economic constraints, limitations on available financial resources reduce opportunities to invest in mitigation and preparedness measures and limit the ability to facilitate short- and long-term recovery. For Arghakhanchi district, from a food insecurity perspective, promoting resilient agricultural systems through training of local farmers in sustainable practices (e.g. erosion reduction), and improving efficiencies in food storage and waste management.

The Pacific Disaster Center (PDC) worked in partnership with the Nepal Ministry of Home Affairs National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Agency (NDRRMA) to conduct a National Disaster Preparedness Baseline Assessment at the subnational level. It includes a Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (RVA) which examines several components of risk including hazard exposures, vulnerability, and coping capacity.
