Sectoral recovery capacity assessment report for Dominica’s tourism sector

Source
Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery, the (GFDRR)

This report presents the results of the Sectoral Recovery Capacity Assessment (SRCA) undertaken in Dominica to assess the capacity of the country’s tourism sector to plan, design, implement, monitor, and evaluate resilient and inclusive recovery projects. Tourism was selected as the priority sector for the SRCA by the Government of Dominica due to its economic importance and high exposure to natural hazard impacts.

The assessment followed a consultative process facilitated by the Ministry of Tourism, International Transport and Maritime Initiatives, and the Office of DisasterManagement (ODM). It was supported by the Canada-Caribbean Resilience Facility (CRF), hosted by the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) at the World Bank Group, and the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA).
