Sectoral recovery capacity assessment for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines’ agriculture sector

Source
Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery, the (GFDRR)

This report presents the results of the Sectoral Recovery Capacity Assessment (SRCA) undertaken in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to assess the capacity of the country’s agriculture sector, inclusive of the fisheries and forestry subsectors, to plan, design, implement, monitor, and evaluate resilient and inclusive recovery projects.

These sector and subsectors were selected as the priority for the SRCA by the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines due to their economic importance, for socially and economically vulnerable populations and for their high exposure to natural hazard impacts. The assessment followed a consultative process facilitated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry and Rural Development (MAFFRD) and the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO). It was supported by the Canada-Caribbean Resilience Facility (CRF), hosted by the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) at the World Bank Group, and the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA).
