Source
Asian Disaster Reduction Center

This annually released booklet aims at further promoting disaster risk reduction activities by demonstrating positive examples collected from different countries. It highlights some of the many natural hazard related disasters that occurred in countries across Asia in 2009, such as earthquakes in Indonesia and typhoons in the Philippines or elsewhere, emphasizing the ever-growing need for cooperation in disaster relief, recovery, and rehabilitation, as well as for pre-disaster measures, such as disaster mitigation or awareness-raising.
