This report reflects on progress in the past two years and the contributions made to support the Government’s efforts by the World Bank, the Asian Development bank and the United Nations Team for Tsunami Recovery Support. It ends with an outline of what still needs to be done. The establishment of a National Disaster management Authority has guided the expansion and acceleration of programmes for disaster risk reduction.
