This report outlines a project to track the recovery of residential building stock following the 2014 Napa, California earthquake. Results demonstrated that recovery is significantly influenced by pre-existing socio-economic factors, which should be included in recovery prediction models to obtain more realistic recovery predictions. A key output of the project is a computer simulation tool for estimating building recovery states and recovery times of a community following an earthquake. The project was funded by the California Seismic Safety Commission.
