Mission

Pre-disaster Reconstruction Joint Research for the Nankai Trough Earthquake.

This collaborative research initiative aims to address the potential large-scale disaster caused by a massive Nankai Trough earthquake, which could surpass the impact of the Great East Japan Earthquake. The study focuses on the coastal areas of Ehime Prefecture, specifically the five municipalities along the Uwa Sea (Uwajima City, Yawatahama City, Seiyo City, Ikata Town, and Ainan Town), and involves joint efforts by Ehime Prefecture, Ehime University, and the University of Tokyo to design pre-disaster recovery strategies.
