Kobe City Global Conference

The Kobe city will be holding the Kobe City Global Conference as part of our 30th anniversary project for the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake.
At this conference, cities from around the world and regions will be invited to share their knowledge on disaster preparedness, response, and resilience, as well as climate change countermeasures, as they face increasingly severe and frequent natural disasters around the world in recent years.
This is a conference that brings together city leaders from around the world, and it will be a valuable opportunity to hear lectures on the experiences and cutting-edge policies of each city, as well as to hear discussions based on these, your participation would be appreciated.
1. Date and time: Monday, 28 April 2025, 9:00-17:45 (reception opens at 8:30)
2. Venue: Kobe Portopia Hotel, Banquet room “Kairaku” (Main Building B1F)

*In addition to the above, cities in East Asia and Türkiye are also being coordinated.
4.Tentative programme: *Entry and exit during the session is possible
① Keynote speech by Mayor of Kobe (9:20-9:40)
② High-level session (10:00-12:00, 13:30-14:30)
☆ Presentations and exchange of opinions by participating cities. Will be held in 2-3 parts.
