The purpose of FASJ is to contribute to the improvement of human welfare by promoting research and education about agricultural sciences in cooperation with related research and educational organizations, and academic societies, and to promote the continuous development of agriculture, forestry and fisheries.

能登の今 ―令和6年能登半島地震による農林水産業の被害と復興への展望―
能登半島地震は過疎化が進み人口減少が著しいところで発生したが、この地域は多様な生物資源が守られており、伝統的な農林漁法と土地利用があることから、我が国で初めて世界農業遺産に登録された。伝統的な農林水産品や工芸品の生産が行われており、それらの文化的背景も高く評価され、能登の里山里海は観光資源の大きな柱となっている。このような貴重な自然や文化的な資源を守るためには農業水産業の復興は欠かせない。このシンポジウムでは、能登半島の復興に農学が果たすべき役割は何かを議論する。

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
