兵庫県神戸市西区に本部を置く日本の公立大学の大学院。2017年開設。 阪神・淡路大震災以後、行政、企業、学校、NPO、地域、ボランティア等多様な主体が蓄積した教訓や知見を学問的に体系化し、減災と復興を表裏一体として捉え、既存の学問を横断的に組み合わせ、減災復興政策にかかる教育研究を展開。減災復興施策の立案や実施、危機管理の実践、防災教育など多様な取組みをリードする人材を育成・ネットワーク化することにより、災害に強い社会づくりへの貢献をめざしている。
With the experience of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in Hyogo Prefecture, knowledge gained from over 20 years of reconstruction and lessons learned from natural disasters such as the Great East Japan Earthquake and heavy rainfall disasters all over the country, the master’s program of the Graduate School of Disaster Resilience and Governance has opened at the University of Hyogo in April 2017 for the purpose of fostering specialized human resources that can contribute to disaster resilience. Moreover, the doctoral program was also founded in April 2019 to foster human resources that contribute to research and policy planning by obtaining advanced specialized knowledge and skills.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
