Business of community resilience forum
Over the last twenty years many lessons about successful community disaster response and recovery have been learned - a realization of the limits of government response, the dependency on community and faith-based organizations, and the bottom-line business imperative of effective community response and recovery.
To be most successful in response and recovery, communities must be resilient – able to rebound from disruption and resume minimal critical services. As part of the communities that they serve, large and small businesses will be a part of that resilience providing resources, ensuring the continuation of the supply chain, and lending efficiencies prior to, during, and after disruptive events.
Discussions at this event will center around challenges and solutions for private sector support of non-profit preparedness, response, and recovery activities.
