During this lunchtime seminar guest speaker Prof David Sanderson from CENDEP, Oxford Brookes University will address the Hazards Forum based at the University of Oxford. He will discuss his recent work on urban post-disaster recovery in specific relation to the Haiti disaster.

There will also be short presentations on the following disasters currently in the news:

- The Japan earthquake and tsunami, Dr John Elliot, Dept of Earth Sciences.
- The role of Chinese drought in Egypt's revolution, Dr Troy Sternberg, School of Geography and the environment.

We hope this will short seminar will interest those working in Disaster Risk Reduction.
