宮古市（みやこし）は、岩手県の三陸海岸に面する市。本州最東端の地である重茂半島の魹ヶ崎を擁する。

2011年3月11日に発生した東日本大震災では津波により大きな被害を受けた。市内中心部の被害はある程度抑えられたものの、沿岸集落は壊滅的被害となった。

 

Miyako is a city located in Iwate Prefecture, Japan. 

On 11 March 2011, Miyako was devastated by a tsunami caused by the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
