1st Congress on health and disasters

The conference will provide a moment for reflection and analysis of disaster risk reduction and disaster management in the health sector, to keep abreast of scientific innovations and improve their impact on livelihoods.

National and foreign professionals will be meeting to discuss positive experiences that have enabled the establishment and smooth functioning of the Cuban civil defense system, in order to improve its future activities.

Main objectives of the conference are:

- to update good practices and lessons learned in public health and disaster risk management.
- to analyze the best national experiences in health and disasters with a cross-cutting and multi-stakeholder approach.
