Global emergency response to disasters for a harmonious world

At the TIEMS annual conference in Beijing, 8-12 June 2010, earthquakes and other natural disasters will be one of the main focuses in the technical program. There is a need of all people involved as professionals in emergency and disaster management, to continue their good work to improve models, tool and methods so as to be able to better predict disasters, be more prepared to respond and handle them, and to reduce their potential consequences.
