The WRC is a global forum that provides a platform to collect, assess, and share disaster reconstruction and recovery experiences and take forward the policy dialogue for an effective international disaster recovery and reconstruction framework.

This webinar presents Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Benjamin E. Diokno, who discusses the macroeconomic outlook, financial technology development, and sustainable recovery in the Philippines and broader Asia and the Pacific.

The event will present the results of the first analysis conducted for the digital transformation of transport, its challenges and the opportunities it brings to catalyse an inclusive and sustainable economic recovery in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (ICDRI) will provide an opportunity to address issues around infrastructure transitions, risk governance and finance, and putting people at the centre of building resilient infrastructure.

The purpose of the technical meeting is to discuss current and emerging issues in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Particular focus will be on policies, strategies and good practices that work towards a safe and sustainable recovery and to advance decent and sustainable work in the sector. The aim is to adopt conclusions, including recommendations for future action by the International Labour Organization and its Members.

This side event will take place on 4 April 2022 and will examine how cities are building resilience to the impacts of COVID-19, especially socio-economic impacts, as well as climate change.

The Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) is an annual and inclusive intergovernmental forum and a regional platform for supporting countries, in particular those with special needs, in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development while serving as a regional preparatory meeting to the high-level political forum.
