The Infrastructure for Development Conference series (#Infra4Dev) is an initiative of the World Bank’s Infrastructure Vice-Presidency, aiming to promote dialogue and exchange between leading edge economic researchers and the wider community of policymakers and practitioners on leveraging infrastructure for development. Policy makers around the world are currently grappling with the immediate economic recovery from the global pandemic, while at the same time trying to steer the global economy on to a more sustainable long-term development path. Accordingly, the theme for this year’s conference is the impact of infrastructure on economic development. We will explore how a range of infrastructural developments – including digital, urban transport, economic corridors, and energy systems – contribute to inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
The first-ever Middle East and North Africa Regional Climate Week will accelerate collaboration and integrate climate action into global pandemic recovery. Building forward opens an opportunity to address social inequalities and invest in economic development that is good for humanity and nature. MENA Climate Week 2022 provides a platform for governments, cities, private sector leaders, financial institutions and civil society to discuss opportunities to build forward from the pandemic by identifying opportunities to enhance climate action. The event will bring together key stakeholders to take the pulse of climate action in the region, explore climate challenges and opportunities and showcase ambitious solutions.
The objective of the 2022 SDTF aims to offer a platform for capacity building, policy dialogue and knowledge sharing for building back better from the COVID-19 pandemic and advance the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

This Ministerial Conference will both celebrate the achievements of the OECD Southeast Asia Regional Programme (SEARP) to date, as its ambitious second phase draws to a close, and look forward, identifying the digital, environmental and social challenges faced by the region due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
