The roundtable will provide an opportunity for development providers from OECD countries, Southeast Asia and Regional Development Funds, the World Bank, and the UN Office of South-South Co-operation to exchange knowledge, ideas and experiences on how development co-operation can guide a sustainable COVID-19 Recovery.

This seminar aims to achieve several objectives, including: promote the sharing of experiences by both the public and private sector on the impact of Covid-19 on MSMEs in Southern Africa, highlighting commonalities and differences in response strategies that were deployed to minimize impacts; stimulate reflections on how MSMEs in Southern Africa can best build back better, especially in the context of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), other trade agreements and regional collaboration.

The objective of this panel is to approach the ongoing digital and green transitions with and among regional stakeholders in Southeast Asia.

A new generation of gender-responsive employment policies can play an important role to promote an inclusive and job-rich recovery from the COVID-19 crisis. This webinar will bring together experts and policymakers from different regions to share knowledge on how they have produced specific diagnostics on how women and men have been impacted by the crisis, and the ways in which they have progressed in implementing gender-responsive policies.

This workshop comes as part of Egypt’s national efforts to build resilience to disasters to reduce their risks on sustainable development plans, by integrating biological hazards, as well as the method of adaptation to climate change in policies, plans, and programs at all levels, within the framework of cooperation between the Egyptian Cabinet Information and Decision Support Centre (IDSC) and the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) in implementing the regional initiative “Building back better after COVID-19”.

This Forum aims to engage mayors, sub-national government officials and representatives, and national institutions concerned with SDG implementation at local level in developed and developing countries.
