Mission
中越防災フロンティアは、中越地域等における被災地住民の生活再建を、復興事業を通じて支援するとともに、その過程において得た知識・経験を、地域の総合的な防災力の向上に資することを目的として設立されました。中越地震の被災体験を生かして、中越地域の防災学習や災害研究の拠点エリアとして情報発信を行うとともに、山古志地区などの中山間地の資源を活用して新しい発想による地域づくりを進めています。
Chuetsu Disaster Prevention Frontier was established with the aim of supporting the rebuilding of the lives of residents in disaster-stricken areas in the Chuetsu region and elsewhere through reconstruction projects, as well as using the knowledge and experience gained in the process to contribute to improving the region's overall disaster prevention capabilities.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
