This document reports on Java Reconstruction Fund's achievements and progress in reconstruction in the five years since a major earthquake struck Central Java on May 27, 2006. It includes the prioritisation of disaster risk reduction in all aspects of its programme through earthquake resistant techniques and designs, community infrastructure projects, capacity building for local governments and civil society and disaster response training.
