The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced that the City of Philadelphia will receive $163,204,000 in funding to support long-term recovery efforts following the Remnants of Hurricane Ida (Hurricane Ida) and Disaster Declaration FEMA4618-DR. This plan details how funds will be allocated to address remaining unmet need in Philadelphia.
To meet disaster recovery needs, the statutes making CDBG-DR funds available have imposed additional requirements and authorized HUD to modify the rules that apply to the annual CDBG program to enhance flexibility and allow for a quicker recovery.
