Gujarat earthquake recovery program: assessment report

Source
World Bank, the
Asian Development Bank (ADB)

The report is a preliminary assessment of damages and needs resulting from the earthquake that struck the state of Gujarat, India, in 2001, which also tries to outline a strategy for implementing a recovery program. It has to be considered as the result of a close collaboration of WB (World Bank) and ADB (Asian Development Bank) teams with the Governments of Gujarat and India and their wide consultation with nongovernmental organizations, academic institutions and the private sector.
