This publication showcases the Lunawa Project approaches tp resettlement and housing/infrastructure reconstruction implemented in Sri Lanka. It intends to record the initiatives taken under the Lunawa Environmental Improvement & Community Development Project as a best practice of promoting the Habitat Agenda in the context of involuntary resettlement. It aims to be a useful reference for practitioners and policy makers in the field of infrastructure and urban development, and to be replicated in any development-induced and disaster-induced involuntary resettlement project.
