Source

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)

This document is the result of a participatory process developed from April to December 2003, through national workshops and forums of analysis and proposals in the different countries of the Central American region. These processes ended with the Mitch+5 Regional Forum, which took place in December in the city of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The forum brought together people from different sectors of the government and the civil society, as well as international organizations, in order to jointly consider and study the different advances obtained in risk management in the last five years, and at the same time it set up the conditions for the confluence of different regional proposals so that future development actions can contribute to stop the process of accumulation of disaster risk.
