Iwate moving toward reconstruction (Ver.1)

Source
岩手県 Iwate Prefectural Government

This is a record of the reconstruction from March 2011 to March 2014 after the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami in Iwate.

Tree years and nine months have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami.

In 2011, Iwate prefecture handled emergency restoration and established a reconstruction plan and was able to dedicate to building a foundation for the reconstruction in 2012. They have been steadily reviving the region through the development of Reconstruction Roads, public housing for disaster survivors, and the vertical integration of primary, secondary, and tertiary industries utilizing local resources (sometimes called sixth sector industrialization).

This publication helps people learn about the reconstruction in Iwate, and that people in Japan and throughout the world use this information to help respond to various disasters and advance reconstruction work wherever it is needed.
