Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is highly exposed to the impacts of natural hazards, including hurricanes, tsunamis, landslides and volcanic eruptions and is currently recovering from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the La Soufrière volcano eruption in 2021.

With more frequent and intense extreme weath er events expected due to climate change in the com ing decades, there is an urgent need to prepare for timely, effective, and efficient disaster recovery, while building resilience at all levels and sectors of govern ment and society. This involves strengthening the ca pacity of key national sectors to develop and execute climate resilient recovery project portfolios that are gender-responsive and disability-inclusive.

This report presents the results of the Sectoral Recovery Capacity Assessment (SRCA) undertaken in Saint Vin cent and the Grenadines to assess the capacity of the country’s agriculture sector, inclusive of the fisheries and forestry subsectors, to plan, design, implement, monitor, and evaluate resilient and inclusive recovery projects.
