Guidance note on Recovery: Technology

Source
International Recovery Platform

The IRP Recovery Guidance Notes series was born out of recognition that the community of disaster recovery planners, policy makers, and managers lack a cohesive documented body of knowledge to support recovery efforts. Addressing this gap remains a key objective of the International Recovery Platform and its partners.

The Guidance Note on Recovery: Technology provides an overview of how various technologies can support disaster recovery processes. It covers tools for data collection, risk assessment, coordination, and communication to improve recovery outcomes.

Organized by recovery function, the document offers practical insights and case studies on the use of GIS, AI, remote sensing, and digital platforms. It serves as a reference for policymakers, practitioners, and researchers working to integrate technology into disaster recovery efforts.
